I am always available by appointment if you cannot make my regular office hours—please remember that it is rarely very useful to come unprepared to office hours (“I don’t know what to write on” is a common complaint, but hard to respond effectively to).  Come with a list of questions or issues, or, if you’re brainstorming for a paper, a list ideas, texts, movies and scenes that you found interesting, irritating, or otherwise noteworthy.
